Education 4 Independence
The Education 4 Independence provision is for learners aged over 19 years old with learning difficulties and disabilities who wish to gain independence and improve their life skills.
We are now in our own centre in Upminster Bridge, which allows additional learning opportunities, and a cohesive learning environment.
The provision is open Monday to Friday for 50 weeks of the year. All courses focus on developing the skills and understanding required to become more independent whilst working towards nationally recognised accreditations. All courses use real equipment and artefacts with visits arranged to optimise learning experience.
All courses are delivered by qualified teachers and supported by Learning Support Assistants to provide any additional one-to-one support, if required.
If you would like to arrange a visit or attend a taster session, please contact our team in the first instance on 01708 433792 or email Brenda.Hunt@havering.gov.uk
Payment Method
We accept direct payments. Please contact your local Community Learning Disabilities Team to find out how to obtain a direct payment. All courses can be purchased independently with a range of payment options available.
