Jackson's Cafe
Jacksons cafe is a training cafe for people with learning difficulties run by the Camden society.
If you would like to work in catering, find out what its like to have a job or learn life skills you can come to Jackson's Cafe to get that service.
You can learn how to prepare food, cook a wide range of meals and snacks, Serve customers, prepare for events and parties and keep the cafe looking great. We can offer you a training programme that meets your needs and help you gain the skills you need to start work.
We offer NVQ's, basic food hygiene and health & safety training, you will also learn how to work as a team, build confidence and independence skills. All of this is recorded in your own folder and work with a keyworker who will give you the support that you need all the way through your training.

People registered with a learning disability aged 18 or over can call the cafe or e-mail for a referral form.
Once we have received it we will offer you a taster day of working to see if it is suitable for you and it is the type of training you are looking for.
If successful we then contact your local authority to get funding agreed for your placement.
