Corbets Tey @ The Avelon Centre

Havering has developed a brand new provision for young people aged 16-25 with special educational needs and disabilities which will be delivered and managed by Corbets Tey. The provision has been developed in partnership with parents and carers, young people, special schools and officers from both children’s and adults’ services.

The vision for Corbets Tey @ The Avelon is to provide high quality education and training opportunities for young people aged 16-25 years. The provision will be aspirational in supporting young people to move towards or onto Entry Level 1 qualifications, alongside building their social and employability skills so that they can become active and contributing members of their community. The provision will support young people and their parents to prepare for a life which is as independent as possible and which includes some form of work, whatever this might look like for each young adult, depending on their needs and aspirations.
