HAVERING SINGERS

Formed in 1946 as a section of the Hornchurch, Romford and Upminster Music and Arts Society, the choir became the Havering Singers in 1965 when the new London Borough was formed. The choir has grown to around 100 voices and regularly performs in local churches. The choir gives four major concerts during each season, which runs from September to July. The repertoire includes two choral concerts with orchestra and soloists, a concert of Christmas Music, and a Summer Soiree comprising a miscellany of lighter, more contemporary pieces for voices and soloists. On this website you will find information about the Society and the programme of forthcoming events. The Information page gives details about rehearsal dates and other useful details.
