Havering Islamic Cultural Centre

The Havering Islamic Cultural Centre (HICC) Executive Committee welcomes you, the visitor, to our site and extends our warm greetings. We hope that you will find the site informative and useful.

At the HICC, everyone, regardless of their affiliation with a particular teaching of Islam, is welcomed. You can visit the Centre for your social, educational, religious and welfare needs. If there are any issues you would like to discuss, the executive committee is there to help you in any way they can.

We are also working towards bringing the Muslim, Christian and other communities together by having regular dialogues between all communities.

We welcome anyone who would like to join us with a view to bringing better understanding between the people in order to strengthen social harmony.

HICC was founded in 1982 under registered charity to cater for the Social, Welfare, cultural and religious needs of Muslims living in the borough of Havering. The constitution for the Center was adopted in August 1993 and Amended in September 1994.

HICC bought this Centre in February 2006 exclusively and generously funded by the local Muslim Community and various mosques around the country. After obtaining permission from the local Council we opened it to the public in April 2007.

We now have car parking spaces of upto 50 cars next to the Centre, which is rented from the leaseholders. A nominal charge of £1 is levied to cover the cost of rent. Five car spaces available next to the premises are especially for the frail and disabled.
We request all the visitors to our to please ensure not to park in front of ANY neighbouring houses. It is our religious duty not to inconvenience our neighbours when we use the Centre.

Also cars may be parked at the Brewery Car park, which is 3-5 minutes walk from the Centre.
