The Right Place: Work Placements for SEND students - a Partnership with Education Providers and Royal Mencap Society
The Department for Education and Royal Mencap Society are working together on The Right Place project in order to offer support to Education Providers assisting their SEND students, aged 16-24yo, into work placements.
The aim of this project is to ensure that education providers across the country can fully support their SEND students into meaningful and fulfilling work placements. Royal Mencap is now looking for colleges and schools that would like to build a partnership with us in order to find tailored and effective solutions on how better support young people with a learning disability to be ready for the world of work once they finish education.
This means that Mencap will offer free support to education providers that might benefit from more information and resources to effectively find and manage placements.
If your college or school is interested in taking part on The Right Place, please get in touch.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards,
Sara
