Havering Benefits Services
Benefits Services calculates claims for Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support. Housing Benefit helps customers on low income and savings that either rent from a private Landlord / Housing Association or from the Council.
It also helps customers on low income and savings by calculating claims for Council Tax Support to assist them to pay their Council Tax.
Once entitled the Service also calculates change in circumstances notified by the customer (such as income changes e.g. returning to work, rent increases, change in state benefits) or changes notified by other agencies for example, the Department for Work & Pensions.
