The Challenging Behaviour Foundation

The Challenging Behaviour Foundation (CBF) is a charity specialising in severe learning disabilities and behaviour described as challenging. Established by a family carer, we work with families and professionals supporting children and adults across the UK.

For family carers we provide practical information and support about everything from reducing challenging behaviour to finding sturdy furniture, and workshops on understanding challenging behaviour and supporting behaviour change

For professionals and organisations we provide information, positive behaviour support workshops, and networking.

For researchers we help support research projects

For everybody else we have information and DVDs about challenging behaviour.

We also work nationally to influence government policy, provide consultancy, and run pilots to demonstrate how support and services can be improved
