Emerson Park Cerebral Palsy Spurs

The football club, for players with cerebral palsy, was established in 2004, when Emerson Park School, the main sponsors, became a Sports College. The club meets for regular coaching sessions or competitive fixtures twice a month at Emerson Park School in Hornchurch in the London Borough of Havering. It is open to players with cerebral palsy of both sexes aged from 6 to adult. Players need to be ambulant. A core aim of the club is to provide top quality coaching for its members. This is achieved through the partnership with Tottenham Hotspur Foundation who have been involved since November 2004, and provide the coaching for the players. The club provides a pathway to playing for the national CP side which takes part in the Paralympics, CP World Cup and Euro competitions. Players from the club have been involved in both the Senior squad and the national under 16 Development squad. The club also encourages taking part in CP athletics, again club members have taken part in international competitions representing the country.
