Starting an Infant or Primary school for the first time (Reception)

Children start statutory schooling in a Reception class in the September after they turn 4 at an Infant or Primary School.  Parents must apply online for a reception School place by no later than Monday 15 January 2019 to secure a September 2019 school place . Please go to the Havering School Admissions website for further information.

Transferring from an Infant school to a Junior school (year 2 to year 3)

Children in year 2 at an Infant school will start in year 3 at a Junior school in the September after they turn 7.  Parents must apply online for a year 3 Junior School place by no later than Monday 15 January 2019 to secure a September 2019 school place.  Please go to the Havering School Admissions website for further information.

Transferring to a Secondary School (year 6 to year 7)

Children transfer from year 6 to year 7 in the September after their 11th birthday.  Parents must apply online for a year 7 secondary school place between 01 September and 31 October in the year that the child starts year 6.  Please go to the Havering School Admissions website for further information.

Children who move to Havering or who want to change schools during the academic year

If you have moved into the borough of Havering and require a school place or your child already attends a  Havering School and you want them to transfer to another school, you will need to complete the Havering In-Year Common Application Form (ICAF).  Please go to the Havering School Admissions website for further information.
