Youth Management Team meets on a monthly basis to help design and input into the programme of events and activities that take place in The Cocoon. Since The Cocoon has been closed we have been meeting virtually to ensure that our Young Adults have the opportunity to discuss issues that are important to Care Leavers. Some of the discussion during Lock-down have been around; Covid-19, well-being, Education, Employment and training, virtual meetings, events going forward and the re-opening of the Cocoon.
The Youth Management Team also attend our Corporate Parenting Panel to provide updates and feedback to the members about what life is like for care experienced young adult.
Directors Surgery
This usually takes place on the first Tuesday of every month with the Director of Children’s Services and/or the Assistant Director of Children’s Services. The surgery is an opportunity for care experienced young adults to discuss and feedback around their experiences. These sessions have been taking place over the phone or Skype since The Cocoon has closed due to Covid-19.
